Brenda Lopez Romero is an American politician and is the first Latina to be elected to the Georgia General Assembly. She was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from the 99th District, serving from 2017 to 2021. In the House, Romero served on the Education, Retirement, and State Planning and Community Affairs committees. Lopez Romero sponsored 72 bills and is a member of the Democratic Party.
