SHE: He has great lips and a cute butt. And I love his little earlobes.
HE: I love holding her hands. They’re so tiny. It makes me feel I can protect her.
SHE: That’s so sweet. You’re going to make me cry.
Oh, boy. Young love can get pretty anywhere, but at the Spanish-style, L.A. home that Beverly Hills., 90210’s Brian Austin Green, 21, and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, 21, have shared since last July, it’s more like Krazy Glue.
Introduced in 1988 by mutual friend David (Married...with Children) Faustino, the two didn’t get tight right away. “I thought about her all the time,” says Green, who plays dweeb-hunk David Silver. “But I had this reputation as a pickup artist, and I didn’t want Tiff to think all I wanted was a one-night dealie. So I was hesitant to even kiss her on the cheek.” Then one night she asked him to stay with her during a thunderstorm. “He was such a gentleman,” says Thiessen, whose warm personality reflects none of the vixenish traits of her character Valerie Malone. “I was on one end of the bed, and he stayed on the other. It was then I knew that I wanted to be with him forever.
Still, true love hasn’t been all pizza and Snapple. He likes to stay up late, hit the clubs, then play his music loud at home; she favors curling up with a book and retiring early. And they’ve had to contend with a major professional problem: watching each other snuggle with good-looking 90210 cast-mates. “It’s not easy seeing someone you love with someone else, even if you know it’s not real,” says Thiessen, “but we’re dealing with it.”
Last February the couple swapped platinum one-year anniversary bands. “I’ll marry Brian anytime he asks me,” Thiessen says. “Every day I love him a little more.” But Green is waiting for just the right moment. “Things are so hectic and crazy now with the show,” he says. “I want everything to settle down so we can have a really nice honeymoon.”
