Carlo Martelli (born December 12, 1935) is an English composer of classical music. While as a teen, Martelli was one of the most admired young composers in the UK. Just at the age of 21, he produced a string quartet which saw great success with several large scale serious symphonic compositions and it was also performed by numerous major orchestras. However, Martelli gave up composing and turned to film music and worked as a freelance viola player.
