Carlos Busqued (1970 — 2021) was an Argentine writer, radio producer, engineer and university professor in the Department of Engineering at the University of Córdoba. He was born in Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña in Chaco province, and lived in Buenos Aires. For radio, he produced the programmes Vidas Ejemplares, El otoño en Pekín and Prisionero del Planeta Infierno. He also contributed to the magazine El Ojo con Dientes. He was nominated for the Premio Herralde for his debut novel, Bajo este sol tremendo, which was translated into English by Megan McDowell. He died after suffered a domestic accident at his home, on March 29, 2021.
