Carlos Roberto Velho Cirne Lima, also referred to as Carlos Cirne Lima, (born in 1931, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil) is a Brazilian contemporary dialectical philosopher. He obtained his doctor-degree in 1958 at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. Was a full professor at the universities UFRGS (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul), PUCRS (Pontífica Universidade do Rio Grande do Sul) in Porto Alegre, and UNISINOS in São Leopoldo, Rio Grande do Sul.
