And now Catherine Tyldesley - pregnant with their first child - says she was so besotted with fiancé Tom Pitfield that she knew he was 'The One' after just three of them.
The Coronation Street actress, 30, got engaged to 27-year-old Tom in August after they announced that they were expecting a baby boy next spring.
Tom revealed: 'We found ourselves on a bridge looking over Venice, near St Marks Square, which was quiet and perfect. I’d taken the ring with us, which I’d wrapped up like a parcel. I got it out and said: "I want you to open this."'
