She is formally known as Swami Chidvilasananda or more informally as Gurumayi (the Sanskrit word translates to "immersed in the Guru"). The Siddha Yoga lineage (parampara) was established by Bhagawan Nityananda, whose disciple and successor, Muktananda was Gurumayi's guru.
