Major League Baseball, he was a backup outfielder, playing mainly as a left fielder for three different teams between the 1938 and 1945 seasons. Listed at 5 ft 11 in (1.80 m), 185 pounds (84 kg), Triplett batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Boone, North Carolina.
