He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft where he served as a backup quarterback for four and a half years. He played college football at the University of Georgia. Since 2017, he has worked as a color commentator and studio analyst for college football broadcasts on the ESPN network.
