Dana Schechter was born and raised in San Francisco. As a musician, composer, and artist/computer animator, her travels have led her across the globe. She founded her band Bee and Flower in NYC in 1999, and released their debut CD "What's Mine Is Yours" in 2003 on Neurot Recordings. Dana has played as a bassist with bands such as American Music Club, Angels of Light, Botancia, April March, Bertrand Burgalat, Keren Ann, and more. In 2004 she moved to Berlin, Germany, recorded a new Bee and Flower album entitled "Last Sight of Land", which was released March 2007 on German label Tuition Music (www.tuition-music.com). As of 2009, Dana is living back in NYC.
