Not a lot is known about Donnie and Darby's relationship. However, we do know that they did date. During the Germs' live performance in 1979 at the Whiskey a Go Go, after the song "The other newest one" had been completed, Darby yelled "Another day another Donnie!!" into the crowd. This is the only footage I could find of Darby actually mentioning Donnie Rose. And there were love letters made by Darby for Donnie.
