David Ralston (March 14, 1954 – November 16, 2022), was an American attorney and a Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives for the 7th district, encompassing parts of Dawson County, Fannin County, and Gilmer County. On January 11, 2010, he became the 73rd Speaker of the Georgia House. Ralston was the longest-serving Republican Speaker in state history and the longest-serving Speaker of the Georgia General Assembly since Tom Murphy.
