David Edmund Young (born May 11, 1968) is an American politician who served as the U.S. Representative for Iowa's 3rd congressional district from 2015 to 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he is a native and resident of Van Meter, a western suburb of Des Moines. He was first elected in 2014 and reelected in 2016; he lost reelection in 2018 to Democrat Cindy Axne. Young challenged Axne in 2020 to regain his old seat, but he was unsuccessful.
