Rolling Stone described him as the fastest guitarist in the history of music due to his ability to play 129 notes per second and was included along with the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix in music history book "Rock Memories Vol II". Lo Surdo has also been defined a "living legend of the history of music".
