Diamantis Zervos was born in Athens, Greece, to Michael Zervos and Anastasia (née Giannenakis). Zervos is best known for writing the book "Baseball's Golden Greeks." Zervos came to the United States with his family in 1971. At the age of 15, he fell in love with baseball during the 1975 World Series. Diamantis established himself as a soccer player in high school and college. He worked diligently for the advancement of soccer in the Boston area. His book follows the careers of the first Greek-American Major League baseball players, glorifying Hellenic pride and dignity in "The Great American Pastime." He graduated from the University of Massachusetts, with a degree in biology. Diamantis, commonly known as "Adam", resides in Canton, Massachusetts with his wife and two children.
