Diego Ancalao Gavilán (born December 13, 1980, in Purén) is a Chilean and Mapuche politician. 20 August 2021 the List of the People proclaimed him their candidate for President of Chile in the 2021 Chilean general election. The Electoral Service, though, rejected his candidacy on 26 August 2021 on the grounds he did not provide the required minimum number of endorsements from independent electors. On August 4, 2023, he became the first person to be detained for corruption charges in connection to the Convenios case.
