Diego E. Thompson (1871 – 1939) was an Argentine doctor and politician who served for several periods as mayor of San Martín, a district of the Greater Buenos Aires. The homonymous Hospital in San Martín bears his name in his honor. He had a long career as a politician of the Partido Conservador, serving a municipal councilor, senator and provincial deputy. and like presidential elector during the 1928 elections in representation of Leopoldo Melo, candidate of the Frente Único.
