Dmitry Ivanovich Gamov (Russian: Дмитрий Иванович Гамов; 30 June 1834, Vyhovka village, Odoevsky uyezd, Tulskaya province – 22 May 1903, Moscow) - major general, explorer of the eastern coast of Korean peninsula. A cape Gamov and Gamov peninsula in Posyet bay were named after Dmitry Ivanovich. The lighthouse
on cape Gamov is also named after him.
