Edwin "Eddie" Barks (1 September 1921 – March 1989) was an English footballer who played in The Football League as a wing-half for Nottingham Forest and Mansfield Town. Eddie was born in Heanor Derbyshire at Midland Road the fourth of five sons (Fred, Tom, Horace, Eddie and the youngest Reg, who was killed in a pit accident in 1943 aged 17). His older brother Tom died in a POW camp in Japan.
