Edith Elizabeth Greaves, MBE, OBE, Nurse, Midwife, Midwifery leader and Matron of City of London Maternity Hospital 1912-1944. She was appointed by the Ministry of Health to the Central Midwives' Board, and was a member of the Council of the College of Midwives.
