Eduardo Lourenço (23 May 1923 – 1 December 2020) was a Portuguese essayist, professor, critic, philosopher, and writer. He attended Colégio Militar and studied at the University of Coimbra, where he also was a professor. He won the Camões Prize in 1996 and the Prix Européen de l'Essai Charles Veillon in 1988.
