Edward Gordon Selwyn was Dean of Winchester in the middle third of the 20th century . He was born on July 6, 1885 and educated at Eton and King's College, Cambridge. Ordained in 1909, after a spell as a Fellow at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge he became Warden of Radley College and then Rector of Havant before his elevation to the Deanery. He died on 11 June 1959.
