Sylvia Elisabeth Rodriguez (born March 5, 1995 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) immigrated to the United States when she was five years old. Rodriguez arrived in Miami without speaking English but quickly learned it in school, passing all five levels of the ESOL program in less than two years.
