Ellis Howard Parker Sr. (September 12, 1871 – February 4, 1940) was an American law enforcement officer. Parker was the Chief County Detective for Burlington County, New Jersey, for forty years. His reputation for solving challenging crimes led to him being popularized as the "American Sherlock Holmes".
