I have the autograph of both Elyse Knox Harmon and Mark Harmon. I was a girl when we saw them on a radio show in Chicago. She signed her name the same as above. Very nice couple.

I`ve always kind of thought, in the back of my mind, that Mark and Tom didn`t have a very strong resemblance, so this would explain that. Mark definitely looks a lot morelike his mom Elyse...I`d love to see a photo of William Ragsdale to see whether or how much Mark resembles Tom`s nose isn`t nearly as straight as Mark`s and is actually kind of crooked, unlike Mark`s nose...Of course, it could just be that Mark looks a lot more like his mom...This is very interesting.

Okay, it seems she isn`t crazy...just in need of absolution. And they never dated -misunderstanding- they were friends. Once again, is it true? God only knows. I just wish the truth would surface for her sake. :/

Crazy news from my crazy mother this morning. Seems that Tom Harmon is not Mark Harmon`s real father. She claims that Mark Harmon`s real father was a man named William Ragdale -her father. Stated that she and Harmon dated in her earlier years, but she ended the relationship because she found out she was his half-sister. His grandfather `supposedly` threatened her to keep her quiet about his mother`s affair. Crazy? I don`t know. My mother and he look A LOT alike. Anyway....

I attended the wedding of Tom Harmon and Elyse Knox on Aug. 26, 1944 in Ann Arbor, MI. They were the parents of Mark Harmon, actor, and his two sisters. I was a student in LSA college at the University of Michigan. Tom played halfback with the U of M, and later with the L.A. Rams. He was a Lt. in the Army Air Force and was lost twice on duty. Elyse wore a gown at the wedding made from Tom`s parachute that he wore jumping from his plane. It was riddled with bullet holes. I lived in Niles, MI after living in South Bend, IN. Tom was born in Renssalaer, IN.
