As the other commenter stated…Emile Griffith was 32 and Sade was 12 in 1971….they were never in a relationship much less married. Not to mention, Emile Griffith was GAY and his partner was ringside on March 24, 1962 @Madison Square Garden for his fight with Benny Paret. Griffith beat Paret to death in the 12th round of the fight…..literally….Paret died after a brutal barrage of uppercuts. Griffith’s rage against Paret is said to have been sparked at weigh-in when Cuban born Paret called Griffith a “maricon” and threatened to come after Griffith’s boyfriend / husband once he was finished with Griffith. Maricon is a slur that means “f@ggot” in Spanish. So the chance of Sade and Emile ever being together at any point in their lives is less than ZERO.
