Farida Hossain (née Ahmed) is a Bangladeshi novelist, playwright, translator, and literary editor. She is most known for her children's literature. She is the former President of the Bangladesh Center of the International Literary Organization, PEN. She was awarded the Ekushey Padak, the highest civilian honor awarded by the Government of Bangladesh in 2004 for her contribution to Bengali literature.
