The family of the late basketball player Fernando Martín is very upset with Ana Obregón's imminent memoir, Así soy yo, which will be released next Tuesday, especially after verifying that the actress dedicates a large part of her autobiography to the relationship that she had in the past with the player. The publication also includes exclusive photographs and excerpts from the work related to the three men who, according to Obregón, have most marked her life: Prince Albert of Monaco, Fernando Martín and the aristocrat Alessandro Lequio. As Vanitatis has learned, the family of the former great promise of basketball is fed up with the actress using the name of Fernando Martín to reappear on television and magazines. She already did it a few months ago when she entered La Caja, where she bared her soul to remember a large part of his past, a gesture that greatly annoyed Martín's family, especially his parents, as well as her participation in the program Más allá de la vida or those photographs in which the biologist appeared visiting the tomb of her former partner. Members of the family have shown their discomfort at Obregón's attitude, for not having ceased in all this time to stir up the past, while they also worked hard to clarify certain aspects of the version of the story that the presenter has always defended. Those closest to him say that Fernando Martín's great love was not Ana Obregón, but Blanca Suelves, with whom he had a long and stable relationship and who would later marry the Duke of Alburquerque, while deciding to remain on the sidelines of all this history and thus opting for a low profile in media terms. For her part, the biologist has always maintained that her story with the basketball player was not a simple sporadic relationship, but that Fernando Martín was the true love of her life, and she reveals in her memories some of the episodes she lived with him and she does so with hairs and signs. "Our eyes anchored us to each other. And forever. I had never believed in crushes... and yet, what Fernando and I felt was love at first sight from the first moment (...). My whole body shuddered as he kissed me. It was intense, passionate. By having his lips next to mine, I felt like he was kissing life and that his lips would be the last ones I would ever kiss," she says.
