While working on The King of Kings, she met an aspiring young actor, Frank O'Connor; the two were married on April 15, 1929. She became a permanent US resident in July 1929, and became an American citizen on March 3, 1931.
She met future husband Frank O'Connor on the set of The King of Kings (1927), and they married in part because her visa was about to expire.
