(George) Eric Rowe Gedye [geddi] (born 27 May 1890 in Clevedon, Somerset; died 21 March 1970), often cited as G. E. R. Gedye, was a British journalist- foreign correspondent for eminent British and American newspapers- author and intelligence officer. He rose to prominence for his early warnings about the dangers posed by the rise of fascism in Germany and Austria.
