Gilbert Ray Cisneros Jr. (born February 12, 1971) is an American government official, philanthropist, and politician who is a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing California's 31st congressional district since 2025. Cisneros, a Democrat since 2008, previously served as Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness in the Biden administration and the U.S. representative for California's 39th congressional district from 2019 to 2021.
