Dr. Gurmit Singh Aulakh (1938 – 2017) was a research scientist in the US who attained honour in the 1980s, 1990s and in the 2000s as the President of Council of Khalistan, an organisation that supported the Khalistan Movement in Punjab region of India. Throughout those decades he was well known for his lobbying in the halls of the US Congress in Washington, DC.
