Halimah al-Sa'diyah (Arabic: حليمة السعدية) was the foster-mother of the Islamic prophet
Muhammad. Halimah and her husband were from the tribe of Sa'd b. Bakr, a subdivision of Hawazin (a large North Arabian tribe or group of tribes).
