Hazel Henderson (27 March 1933 – 22 May 2022) was a British-American futurist and an economic iconoclast. “Born in Britain, Henderson was a naturalized US citizen who shared the 1996 Global Citizen Award with Nobelist A. Perez Esquivel of Argentina. She was remarkably proud that in the 1970s the Public Relations Society of America called her “the most dangerous woman in America” for her pioneering work. A phenomenal lifelong learner, Henderson earned Honorary Dr. of Science degrees from the University of San Francisco, Soka University in Tokyo, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts.”
