Saint Hermenegild or Ermengild (d. April 13, 586,) (Spanish: , from Gothic Ermen Gild, "immense tribute"), was a member of the Visigothic Royal Family in Hispania. His martyrdom was a catalyst in the Visigoths' conversion from Arianism to the Nicene Creed ("Catholicism").
