Air Commodore (retired) Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga (27 January 1952 - 24 December 2020) a Native of Ikot Nya in Nsit Ibom was a Nigerian former Air Commodore. He was governor of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria from September 1990 to January 1992 during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida, handing over to an elected civilian Governor at the start of the Nigerian Third Republic. He died on 24 December 2020 following complications from COVID-19. Idongesit Nkanga died before the eve of Christmas Celebration.
