Regarded as one of the most accomplished actresses of her generation, she is recognised for her versatile work across stage and screen. She began her career performing on stage with the drama company Tanghalang Pilipino in the 1990s and later expanded into acting through independent and mainstream productions. Adlawan has received numerous accolades, including four Aliw Awards, a FAMAS Award, a Metro Manila Film Festival Award, and a Young Critics Circle, in addition to nominations for five Gawad Urian and three Luna Awards.
