She has authored several best-selling cookbooks, including Vegan with a Vengeance, Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World, Veganomicon, Vegan Brunch, Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar and Appetite for Reduction. Her first restaurant, Modern Love, opened in Omaha in 2014, and its second location opened in Brooklyn in 2016.
