Jacob Lawrence Frey ( FRY; born July 23, 1981) is the mayor of Minneapolis, Minnesota. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party, he served on the Minneapolis City Council from 2013 until his election as mayor. Elected mayor in 2017, he was sworn in on January 2, 2018.
