American Painter Jacob Lawrence was born on 17th September, 1917 in Atlantic City, NJ and passed away on 9th Jun 2000 Seattle, Washington aged 82. She is most remembered for Lawrence referred to his style as "dynamic cubism", though by his own account the primary influence was not so much French art as the shapes and colors of Harlem..
