Jafar Umar Thalib (pronunciation; Arabic: جَعْفَر عُمَر طَالِب; December 29, 1961 – August 25, 2019) was an Indonesian Islamist cleric. He was the head of Laskar Jihad, an Islamist and anti-Christian militant organization active during the Maluku sectarian conflict.
