James Callan Gray Wessel Walker (March 26, 1930 – May 17, 2006) was a South African and naturalized American geophysicist and Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences at the University of Michigan. He directed studies of the ionosphere at the Arecibo Observatory and aided in the design of the Arecibo message in 1974.
