James Creaney (born 19 October 1988 in Glasgow) is a Scottish football player, currently playing for Dumbarton F.C., in the Irn-Bru Second Division. He started his career at Stranraer , where he was a first team regular, making 31 appearances in one season at the south of Scotland club. He then moved to Ireland to play for Dundalk but failed to break into the first team, making only one appearance. He then moved further west to Galway in search of first team action. In one season at the club he made 18 appearances. He returned to Scotland the next season to play for Dumbarton. In the 2010-11 season made 25 appearances for the club and has become a first team left back. After a strong season with the Sons he has re-signed for another year.
