Jan Willem Bruins (26 June 1946 – 8 April 2021) was a Dutch painter. He painted since 1992 over 100 wall poems in Leiden and since 2015 also eight wall formulas, showing the physical equations linked to Leiden. For his works he was awarded a royal award. In 2020 the wall formulas won the "NWO-communicatieprijs" (NWO communication prize).
