Jason Hepi is a "car enthusiast" from Christchurch, New Zealand who became well known when in May 2007 he wrote a series of letters to The Press which defended the actions of the city's 'boy racer' community. His controversial views provoked so much debate on the letters pages that the newspaper gave him a blog, titled "Public Enemy" on their website in which to write. He also appeared on popular current affairs show Campbell Live alongside Clayton Cosgrove, the member of parliament behind legislation making it easier for police to cease cars and an outspoken critic of 'boy racers.'
