Jawid Sharif (Pashto/Persian: ) is a popular Afghan pop singer currently residing in Bonn, Germany. He has released seven albums (as of 2009) that have gained popularity as well as critical acclaim. According to his official website his music has been influenced, by his mentor and uncle, Habib Sharif. Jawid Sharif sings primarily in Persian, but he is also fluent in Pashto and German, and has a sufficient knowledge of English and Urdu as well.
