She was married in 1968 and divorced months later. She retired in 1964 from health issues causes by schizophrenia. It was not reported in 1964 as mental illness had a dark misconception. Unfortunately her short marriage was due to her I'll ess. She was a beautiful actress and had a bright future. She was a woman filled with life and love. Shortly after her diagnoses in 1964 she was hospitalized several times and placed in and out of care until finally bring committed by the state of California. In. Other words, she has no rights, no life of freedom and no quality of life we might expect. She is still alive at age 83, still under State controlled care. She in ever married again and had no children. She is an example of talent, courage, tragedy and sadness. May God Bless her as we humans could not.

Jena gave a powerful performance in an episode of Wagon Train. A young, Perry Lopez was her love interest. She also appeared in Rawhide.

I saw her on an episode of Have Gun, Will Travel. She was an excellent actress and very beautiful; I wondered why I hadn`t seen her more over the years.

Jena,plainly beautiful,no makeup needed. I would have gladly gazed into her eyes as she played Callie on Gunsmoke.

Anyone ever find anything out the whereabouts of this actress? She does seem to have dropped out of sight quite suddenly, but no obit found.

Just watched an old gunsmoke show about 1961,she played Millie,Really thought she was a great young actress,came to computer to find out how famous she might be!!
