Jessica Chastain was dated Thor actor Tom Hiddleston, accorded to reports in 2013.
The Zero Dark Thirty actress, who won a Golden Globe for her role as a CIA agent in the movie, recently revealed that she has a "no actor" policy when it comes to dating, but has apparently been won over by the British star.
The pair are thought to be "serious" about each other. Chastain apparently visited Hiddleston's British family and friends this Christmas.
"Tom is taken with Jess and it's serious," a friend alleged.
"Before Christmas she visited Britain to stay with him and meet all his family for the first time."
The rumoured couple are also reportedly keen to keep their love lives out of the public arena.
Chastain previously said of dating famous men: "In this business it's very tough to maintain a relationship because we're like gypsies - always on the move.
"And the more you share your relationship with the world the less special it becomes. So I always try to keep my dating life quiet."
