Jevon Murray McSkimming (born 1972 or 1973 (age 52–53)) joined the New Zealand Police in 1996. He rose through the ranks and became deputy commissioner between October 2020 and May 2025. In 2024 he was one of two candidates for the role of commissioner. Less than a year later, following a flawed investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct, he was convicted of possessing child sexual exploitation and bestiality material and resigned.
