According to one of the biographies it is found that the two of them came in contact with each other in the year 1965 at the nightclub of Gazzari that is located on the Sunset Strip.
Pamela Courson was studying arts at Los Angeles City College, when they met. Cosmic mate was the term which Morrison used for her and dedicated his poetry books and songs like Love Street to her. Both of them were not very loyal to each other and the relation cannot be regarded as very genuine one.
Morrison was unfaithful enough to enter into a marriage with Patricia Kennealy that took place at the Wiccan in the year 1970 without any legal formalities. Pamela Courson was not involved in any concrete work or a job rather she unsuccessfully ran a fashion boutique namely Themis for a short span, which was also given by Morrison.
As per her death certificate records it is seen that Pamela Courson is listed as having been involved in work concerning womens apparel. James Douglas Morrison met the end of his life on the 3rd July, 1971 in the bathtub of the apartment he was living in with Courson in Paris. He was said to have died of heart failure though he was just twenty-seven and was well built.
Because of the blood stained water autopsy could not be done hence there are some doubts as to the reason behind his death. He described himself as an unmarried person in his will. His wealth was given over to Pamela Courson who after getting hold of her royalties never met any of the Doors. She had no passion for his money or inheritance.
Pamela Courson was very distressed at his death and resorted to heroin and also started developing mental problems. She died on 25th April 1974, as a result of taking an excess amount of heroin in the apartment at Los Angeles, which she used along with two of her male friends.
